Golfing
Husband took Riley for a golf outing. He loves golf.
Then he went golfing on another day with his friend Dan.
Family Ski Day
Ev was not excited to be bundled up for the cold.
James was not happy to be waiting on everyone else to get ready.
Hey! There is a kid in a good mood!
I explained to Baby that he comes from the midwest. Snow is in his blood. He sat down. OK...
Got tickets, rented the necessary extra equipment and the skiers were off.
Ev was hungry. So I fed him.
And then...he started to discover the fun parts about snow!
This kid took a lunch break. He's been once before but just took right to it.
Penelope hurt her ankle on her first run. So she sat out and enjoyed the scenery. Thankfully it wasn't serious.
James nearly passed out from overheating. Yes. Overheating. While waiting in line at a lift. Husband saw him starting to faint and grabbed him and pulled off layers. James took a short break for some cool beverage, food, and snow play before he went up the mountain again. The kid is a natural heater.
And this kid was excited to have his best friend back to play with in the snow.
I wore this same jacket and overalls last time I went skiing...when Penelope was toddling around and the rest of the kids weren't born yet. Those are some quality ski clothes. I bought them in 1997.
And while I haven't skied since college, I went out for a couple of runs and did just fine. I can't wait to go again.
