Creative Purge
I had this shape in my head for weeks. I needed to get it out. So I freehand drew it. Which is really hard for my shaky, untrained hands.
But I liked the result. It's not museum worthy but I managed to get it out of my head and down on canvas.
This is the final product. It is my celebration painting for becoming a grandmother. Very colorful and whimsical and yes...I gave my grandma head plum colored hair.
And this is a painting I have wanted to do for a while. Very simple lines, very simple color scheme. I just wanted to try to capture the pure love of mother and child, using silhouette patterns. If you look closely you can see how shaky my lines are...but it was made by me and it is good enough.
I absolutely love how this turned out. Love it.

Grandma and Leo Time
We are all in love with Leo.
My favorite is to hold him when he is happy or sleepy.
He has been a very facially expressive child since birth.
Yep. All fun until the tears come. Then it is the best part of being a grandmother. I give him right back to his mother, Penelope.
