Shark Fiend
Riley and I made his shark puzzle together today.
I was amazed by how much he knows about the individual sharks.

Cars, Reading, and Selfies
I wanted to note that the boys were adamant that I give them a light to read by while I drove at night. They had books to read, adventures to experience.
It should be further noted that the oldest could barely read at nine, and certainly didn't understand any of the words he had just fumbled through.
What a difference a few years and a lot of incentives can do. He practically rips my head off if I politely offer to set his current book aside at any time.
And the other one has always read well enough but refused to read large books. Why? Because he is Riley.
Until now. Look how big that book is!
Two more children, well on the road to book addiction.
My work here is almost complete...bwa ha ha!
And then they took some selfies.
Yep. That's a keeper James.

The Temp Said 100 Degrees So The Boys Said, "We Swim!"
The pool was a nice 85 degrees (from the solar heating) and it was between 95 and 100 when the boys were out playing. Oh what a day!
This one felt 'done' a little earlier than the others. I took him inside and got him in dry clothes.
But the rest played on. These are the memories.
Someone's Got My Number...
I readily admit that I am very type A.
I readily admit that if you look at my closet or drawers you will find them sorted by color and then style.
Always.
So it was with some humor that I noticed what one of my sons did to my shoes to show me he was mad at me.
He mixed my shoes up. Put wrong colors and matches together.
Almost makes my eyes bleed to look at this picture...
I tracked him down and politely told him to fix his mess.
He fixed it.
Ahhhh...much better.
A few mess ups but I can handle those and get it completely right.
But I did find it funny (and worrisome) that this child knew how to screw with me. I'm not ready for psychological warfare with this kid.
Sunglass Prince
You talking to me?
I'm too cool and important for you...
Just kidding! It's still me, sweet as can be!

Horseplay
Ev got this horse for his first birthday from his grandparents in the Midwest.
He plays with it a lot but I just happened to catch him while he was moving it all around and making the horse make noises.
He is getting so big and we are so grateful to his first family for letting us be a part of his life.
